Unusual Ornament
You might have noticed the tiny red thing hanging on the Christmas tree.
Yes, that *is* what it is. My friend Malcolm made it more than 20 years ago and hung it on my tree to see if anyone would notice. No one ever has.
My son, home from college, asked me about it when he was decorating the small tree, and I told him. Apparently he followed tradition and hung it. I only noticed it today, taking photos. :)
Butterfly!
My friends Sandy and Malcolm make fabulous decorations with sequins, ribbons, pins and styrofoam, This is the first one I made.
These are very labor intensive, and there is no way you could make them commercially, so they remain one-of-a-kind labors of love. There’s something special about hand made art.
Is this Santa a cutey or what? I’ve been taking a bazillion decoration photographs this year;
I’m a big Santa fan; when my son was small, he counted Santa as part of his circle of friends. They would hang out together at a local mall. As he got older, we discussed the concept of Santa as a state of mind.
This is actually a very cool animated light display, but I haven’t got linux video editing figured out just yet. Maybe next year.
Go Santa!
