When performing as a duo appearing on the CKNX Barn Dance or the Main Street Jamboree, my parents were “The Pine River Sweethearts.”
My mother, Laura Gaede Russwurm, passed away a few years ago, and I’ve been putting together a memorial blog containing photographs from her life ever since.
My father, Lynn Russwurm is very active in the music industry still, 60+ years on. I’ve been writing a blog to publicize his work as a performer and Canadian country music promoter.
I know Mr. Hudak wants to lower the already ridiculously low taxes paid by big corporations. Hey, people, can you imagine how amazing it would be if the highest rate of income tax paid by ordinary people was 11.5% ?

A Young Nucky Thompson?
Although this young man might pass for a younger version of the talented Steve Buscemi today, if Frank Brydges were still alive he would be old enough to be Steve’s great-great-granddad.
This 1907 mug shot of Frank Brydges is part of the “Arresting Images” exhibition on display at the City of Waterloo Museum until Friday May 9th, 2014.
The museum is located in Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada
