Unusual Ornament You might have noticed the tiny red thing hanging on the Christmas tree.  Yes, that *is* what it is.  My friend Malcolm made it more than 20 years ago and hung it on my tree to see if anyone would notice.  No one ever has.  My son, home from college,  asked me about it when he was decorating the small tree, and I told him.  Apparently he followed tradition and hung it.  I only noticed it today, taking photos.  :)

Yes, that *is* what it is.  My friend Malcolm made it more than 20 years ago and hung it on my tree to see if anyone would notice.  No one ever has.

First Christmas Tree Last year we were too busy, and didn’t have a tree at all for the kittens’ first Christmas.  This year we were too late to get a real live one in a pot to plant outside in spring, or a cut dead tree to fill the living room with the scent of pine.  So I got a cheap tabletop tree rather than have any at all.  The cats knocked a few things off, but nothing major.  <whew>
